Earlier this summer we heard the collaboration between Mr. Käfer & Phlocalyst on 'Cloudscapes', the first single from their album Now / Again on Melting Pot Music. Now, the German duo with backgrounds in classical orchestra and jazz drop their second single 'Space Travels', which sees a smooth beat wrapped in warm synth melodic layers, led by Phlocalyst's distinctive horn. There's a definite spacey feel to the track, a provoking a thoughtfulness that would bode well on a long travel. The tracks is reminiscent of German duo Kruder and Dorfmeister who fused the sweet sounds of dub, jazz, rare groove and hip-hop back in the 90s.
